How to build a Flipbook from scratch in 5 minutes?

Yesterday I came across with a new interesting software Flip Builder from www.flipbuilder.com which permits to build a Flipbook from scratch in a very few steps.
I am used to create flipbook with their software but every time I like to inspect by myself before reviewing, but let's start to use it.
Step 1 - Start the software and Import a PDF
After starting the software you get the above shot then just click on the import button to import your PDF.
So far, it's a common step to any of these flipbook software but as you can see at glance there's another tab called Edit click on it to get into a new world of graphic tools.
Step 2 - Editing the PDF
We start adding an highlighting area then we added a text area and of course you can draw different shapes as well as set their parameters to fit your needs.
Clicking on the Image button you can add several different types of media including video too.
Step 3 - Save the project
Next step save the project.
Step 4 - Build To FlipBook
It's time to build your flipbook, click on the Home button then on Build To FlipBook button
This is the shot you get after clicking on Build To FlipBook button then follow as usual to adjust your settings and output format.

As you can see it is very easy to get astounding flipbooks in a very few minutes using this software.

Flip Builder Most of you already know that I'm fond of cheap software but good tools!!!
Today, I'm back to you with a new software from flipbuilder.com that I tested and let me an enthusiast, even I don't like to use an iPad or other apple devices. In fact, what I appreciate at first is that the software runs on windows PC too.
After testing FlipPDF, Flip PDF Pro, Flip PowerPoint Pro and other, this is the time of a new born called Flip PDF for iPad .
Yes, you understand correctly! How you guessed in 5 minutes can have your PDF flipping in your iPad. Follow me and see!
Step 1 - Start the program
First time you start the program you get this screen and as you can see it is divided in two sections.
Left side you can manage all settings and right part shows an iPad frame with your flipbook.
Step 2 - Select Template
Before importing your PDF, I suggest you to click the template button and choose a theme from the selection list provided.
It can be used how basic theme to be modified at will using the background and page settings.
Step 3 - Import PDF
Import now your PDF and in the prompt panel can choose among different quality as well other options, then click OK.
Step 4 - Customization - Background - Title Book - Title Bar
After importing your PDF you can use the left panel to adjust the parameter and make your personal settings which can be saved and recall for a later use. In the details you can set the book title, the book logo, a book description and choose an URL to link the logo at your preferred external website. You can also decide to hide the fast scrolling arrows on the screen so, to get your book wider. We let them in place.
When you finish to make the adjustments then click on the flashing Apply Changes and you are ready to preview the flipbook.
Step 5 - Convert To Flipping Book
It's time to convert your PDF in a flipping book, just click on the button and you are prompted to choose the output file format.
You have two options HTML & ZIP.
Choose Html to create a file html + folder to be uploaded in your website and watched online with a browser in iPad.
Select ZIP to create a zip file to be shared with other people or sent by email.
After you made the output choice, in matter of seconds you get this prompt to watch the final product.
How you can see from the above picture you can navigate as you like, using the scrolling arrows, the thumbnails or in a autoplay.

Foxit PhantomPDF™ Business it's the ultimate alternative to other expensive software.
We are using The Phantom suite by Foxit for 2 years and we never felt the need of having another tool.Some days ago we received the license to test this new version 2012.
Phantom PDF is available in 3 versions for any pocket and needs, we tested the Business edition which brings some new powerful tools. Let's start from the beginning.
After installing, the first time you are asked to fill some form before you can use the software but it takes 1 minute no more.
The third screen have a link to the online user manual and you can download it for future reference.
NOW we start exploring some features
1 - Creating PDF
Menu File > Create PDF then you have a plenty of choice about PDF sources, we decide to create From Blank Page
2 - Comment & Form Menu to choose some tools.
3 - Text Field
To give you an idea of the powerful suite of tools in this Phantom PDF Business we use a "Text field".Next pictures shows you the completeness of choices you have to set in the various tabs. We add a tooltip, how to be formatted, and which action to perform.
Once you set the text, of course, you can drag and position it in the page or modify its properties.In shot 13 you can see the full screen function to test your page with the highlighted field (highlight can be deactivated)

Next shot shows the multimedia panel to add video in different format (format choices mostly depend on the codec available in your computer)
In the picture you can also see a combo box and other form among the several available in the suite.Shot 16 - Organize The Pages
To create your final product you can Add pages from blank or from other PDF and even add page transition to your full screen preview.
Shot 17 shows THE NEWEST FEATURES AVAILABLES IN Foxit PhantomPDF™ Business it's the Export To function.
With this Export To function you can export in several format and types, among which you have PowerPoint, Excel, Html and Images with up to 5 picture formats. I tested the export to image and it's very easy to set and wonderful clear without any surprises or artefact introduced in the picture. I think this is a very important function.I used many Open Source free graphic tools and word processors that do this function but never satisfied me...the pictures always were shown some unwanted lines and cannot have a full control on quality settings. This time I want to introduce you a very easy to use and high valued software.
Flip PowerPoint Professional it's an astounding software that permits you to convert in a few click your Power Point files.
No need to be an experienced designer, you can use this software just out of the box applying the supplied themes and templates.

SELECTING TEMPLATE & THEMEOnce you started the program wit a double click on its icon you land in this page where you manage the whole project.
STEP1 is Selecting a Theme clicking on the Icon you see encircled then from the pop up panel choose your Template and Theme.
IMPORTANT: You can also make your project and create a custom Theme for future use.
SELECTING THEME
IMPORTING PPTIt's time to Import your PPT file using the related button and you can make some choices before importing, very easy settings to check or uncheck before starting the file import.
ADDING LOGO AND OTHER SETTINGSAfter importing PPT file you can customize the project making your preferred settings. You can vary a lot of parameters such as book size, flash window color and more. Also you can add a brand logo including a URL to redirect user to a preferred link.
After making any variation don't forget to click on "Apply Changes" button, usually it flashes red to warn you.
LANGUAGE & SECURITY SETTINGS
While your PPT include slides in different languages or not, you can set the language switch on in the settings so users can choose the preferred language for the interface buttons.
SECURITY SETTINGSBesides, you can also decide to sell your book so, it's advisable to show only some pages for free.
In this case you can choose a custom password and how many pages to show.
SAVE PROJECTAt this point you can Save your Project and convert it. How you see it's very easy.
But this kind of book it's also achievable with the simple Flip Power Point so why to use a Pro version?
Follow me and you will see the difference in a few more picture you will understand it soon.
EDIT PAGESWhen you click on the Edit Pages button you suddenly see the difference.
EDIT BAR PROPERTIESIn this software's section you can completely change your book and make it interactive at will.
Select the page you want to modify and then using the button on top bar set the function you like. You can add youtube video, flv video and swf animation, buttons, links, photogallery and more.
ADDING A POP UP WITH PHOTO
To add a Photo PopUp just click on Add photo, draw a rectangle on the page when release the mouse button it open the selection panel to choose the photo. Next steps are similar for a single Photo or a Photo gallery just repeat steps 4-6 as many time as you like.

When you finish customizing, click the red X icon on the topmost left corner and save your editing.
Preview your book then convert it in the chosen format among Flash/Html, mobile, .exe, .app

STEP 1 - SET BACKGROUNDYou can add png,jpg,gif file how background of your wall paper. This is the first action to do then you go step 2 and add object, that is a simple icon you can stretch as well as move manually in any place of the screen. It's easier to use such form/object.
STEP 2 - ADD ANIMATED OBJECT
STEP 2 BIS - CLICK EDIT TO ADD A FRAMEWhen you finish to set the object then click on Edit to Add Frame instead of the object form, as shown on the above picture.

If anyone got some problem or didn’t like to have the ask.com tool bar can try the following steps:
1) Uninstall from the windows control panel> applications installed> ask.com tool bar and updater
2) go into explore resources and delete the folder if still is there
3) download a specific removal tool from here
4) close your browser
5) open again resource explorer and navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\YOURUsername\Dati applicazioni\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\YO
6) restart your browser and that’s all!
It worked for me….

First step add pictures from the samples or create your personal collection. I add our WOC multimedia logo and some other pictures.
In the next tab you select app icon, background and other related function icons. Of course, you can create your own icon set.
Continue your personalization adding special buttons for timing, etc. Also you can change language pop-up message, background music loop and so on. When you finish just click the build button on bottom right and insert the related information to complete the android app ready to be distributed in a few seconds.
